Batch watermarking means designing a watermark once and applying it to a whole set of photos, instead of placing it on each file by hand. In Watermark.ws one edit holds up to 5,000 files on Premium, and the watermark you design on the first photo is placed on all of them. Your original files are never changed.

How to Batch Watermark Photos in 4 Steps

Watermark a whole shoot without installing anything.

  1. Step 1: Add All Your Photos

Drag the photos, or the whole folder, onto the page, or bring them in from Google Drive, Google Photos, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box or Facebook. Each photo can be up to 100 MB.

  2. Step 2: Design the Watermark on One Photo

Choose Text, Logo or Signature. Set the font, size, color and opacity and drag it into place. Turn on Tile to repeat it across the photo.

  3. Step 3: Apply to All Files

Press Apply and choose All files. Step through the strip at the top and move the watermark on any photo where it covers something.

  4. Step 4: Finish and Download

Press Finish and download each photo or all of them as a zip. Your original files are not changed.

What you can do

Add a Whole Folder

Drag hundreds of photos, or a whole folder, onto the page, or import them from Google Drive, Google Photos, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box or Facebook. JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, TIFF, PSD and 25 RAW formats all work.

Fix Single Photos

Apply the watermark to all files, then step through them. If it covers a face or a label on one photo, move it there: only that photo changes.

Download All as a Zip

Download every finished photo in one zip, or one at a time. On a phone, Share all sends them to the share sheet.

Questions people ask

How many photos can I watermark at once?
Up to 5,000 files in one edit on Premium and Ultimate. The free Basic plan lets you design on a whole set and see the preview, and it processes one file per edit.
Can I adjust the watermark on individual photos?
Yes. After applying it to all files, open any photo and move or resize the watermark there. Only that photo changes, which helps with shoots that mix portrait and landscape photos.
Can I reuse the same watermark on my next shoot?
Yes. Save it as a template and load it next time. Add a resize or a frame to the same template and it runs as a workflow. Loading your own templates is part of Premium.
Will batch watermarking change my original photos?
No. Your originals are never changed; the watermark goes on new copies. JPG and PNG photos come back in their own format, HEIC and RAW come back as JPG, and TIFF, PSD and WebP as PNG.
Do I need to install any software?
No. Watermark.ws works in any modern browser on a computer or phone, and the photos are processed on our servers. You can also install it as an app from the browser.
