Graphic designers share work in progress with clients all the time, and without a watermark those files can be used without payment. Watermark.ws adds a watermark to design proofs, mockups, PDF presentations and portfolio pieces, so your work stays marked through the review and across your online presence.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Upload Your Designs

Drag your files onto the page: PNG, JPG, SVG, PSD, TIFF and other images, PDFs and Word documents. PSD, TIFF and SVG files come back as PNG.

  2. Step 2: Apply a Custom Watermark

Add your studio logo, a DRAFT or PROOF label, or a tiled pattern across the design. Set every detail so the watermark marks the file without hiding the design.

  3. Step 3: Download and Deliver

Download the watermarked proofs and send them for review. Once the work is approved and paid, deliver the clean originals, which are never changed.

What you can do

Client Proofing

Send concepts and revisions with a clear watermark. Clients can review and approve the work, while you keep the clean files until the invoice is paid.

Watermarks in Your Style

Use your studio logo, your own uploaded font (Premium) or a tiled text pattern. Set the color, opacity, angle and size, or cover the whole proof with a Protect pattern.

Portfolio Protection

Show your best work on your website or portfolio sites with a subtle watermark that discourages reuse while the design still shows.

Questions people ask

Can I add a PROOF or DRAFT text watermark to my designs?
Yes. Use any wording you like, such as PROOF, DRAFT, SAMPLE or your studio name, and set the font, size, color, opacity and angle for each project.
Can I watermark PDF design presentations?
Yes. Upload the PDF and add your watermark; it comes back as a PDF. Premium and Ultimate watermark every page, the free plan the first page.
Will the watermark make my designs look unprofessional to clients?
Not if you set it with care. A semi-transparent overlay marks the file as a proof while the client can still judge the design, colors and layout.
Can I keep different watermarks for different uses?
Yes. Save several templates, for example a logo for portfolio pieces and a tiled PROOF for client reviews, and load the one you need. Loading your own templates is part of Premium.
